FOXTON STOCK SALE
The sale at Foxton on Wednesday brought a good yarding of sheep and a small selection of cattle, everything coming forward in good condition. There was a good attendance of buyers and vendors effected a total clearance. Prices included 21/8 for 3 to 4-year-old ewes, rape lambs 16/6, fat cows £4 1/- to £6 15/-, forward £2 7/6. LONDON WOOL SALES. Messrs. Levin & Co. Ltd., have received the following cable from their London agents, dated 9th February 1926: — “The auctions closed here to-day with a good tone. As compared with the opening rates of this series. W’e quote:— Greasy merino, best, id to Id per lb dearer; greasy merino, average, id per lb. cheaper; halfbreds and crossbreds, no change; scoureds generally 5 per cent cheaper; slipe half bred lambs, Id. per lb. cheaper; slipe three-quarterbred lambs, 2d per lb. cheaper; coarse slipes, £d per lb cheaper.
