A NEW ROAD.

SHANNON TO WAIRARAPA,

Masterton, February 10.

The Mas teuton Chamber of Commerce yesterday received a letter from the Shannon Chamber of Commerce, proposing that the ShaimonEketabuna road, of which only about seventy miles remain to be completed-, should be good road between east and west. The road would save about 80 miles on a round trip, and would pass through miles of glorious scenery. It was decided to support the proposal for improved communication, but to get the opinion of the Public Works Department on the cost and practicability of the scheme
