FIRE BRIGADE.

Last Friday night the local Fire Brigade organised one of the most successful dances that has yet been held in the Masonic Hall. Socially, it was a great success and as a consequence of the large attendance the Brigade’s demonstration fund was considerably augmented.

A team to visit Dunedin this month representing the local Brigade ot the annual competition has been selected as follo.ws: —

Foremen H. Reid and R. Parker, Secretary A. Walls and Fireman F. Morgan. Deputy Superintendant F. Lockwood will also accompany the team as delegate to the conference. The team has been putting in a good deal of practice and some good times have been put up for the various events.

The men will leave Foxton about the 24th inst.
