WHIROKINO BRIDGE.

The re-decking of the Whirokino bridge has now been completed by the Manawatu County Council. In conversation with the engineer (Mi’. Hickford) we were informed that the decking has been widened to allow two cars to pass, with care. “Of course it would be impossible for two motor lorries to cross on the bridge,” said Mr. Hickford, who added that it would be necessary at an early date to widen the approaches to -the bridge as at present they were too narrow.
