FATAL FALL FROM HORSE
Taumarunui, Yesterday. Mr. Carl,Beck, a well-known sawmill manager, met with a fatal accident this afternoon. He was riding a horse along the road about three miles from Taumarunui. A Hindu scrub-cutter in the vicinity heard the horse galloping hard and on going to investigate, found Mi. Beck lying unconscious face downwards on tlie road. A doctor was called, who pronounced life to be extinct.
