.JEWELLER AM) BILLIARD MARKER FINED. Auckland, February 3

At the Magistrate’s Court a billiard marker named David Cornwall White and Edwin Henry Mason Smith, a watchmaker and jeweller, were each lined £25 and costs for using their respective premises as common gaming houses. Evidence was given during the hearing of the case on Wednesday last by a constable who made bets with both defendants.
