The Palmerston North police received a report from Rongotea last evening that the body of a man had been found at 4 p.m. on the Raugitikei beach. It is believed to be that of Third Officer Batty, of s.s. Kumara, who was drowned at Wanganui on the 24th inst., through the boat he was in being dashed against the south mole and capsizing.
