BODY FOUND ON TANGIMOANA BEACH.
IDENTIFIED AS MISSING WANGANUI MAN.
The body of a young man dressed in bathing costume was found on the beach about two miles from the Tangimoana township on Sunday morning. The body was taken into Sandon, where Mr. E. Goodbeliere, of Feilding, held an inquest.
The body was identified by the I a (her as that of James Oliver Scott aged 25 years, who bad been missiiijjf from bis borne in Wanganui since January 17. A verdict of found drowned was returned.
The missing man and his brother Robert went to the Oastleeliff beach on January 17, and with a large number of others indulged in bathing. Later in the afternoon he left his brother and intimated that he intended to watch the demonstration in life-saving. His brother went in for another dip, and on his return could not locate the missing man. Later it was ascertained that his -clothes had been left in the milling shed, and as these were un•laimed, fears of a tragedy were lroused.
