FOXTON SILVER BAND
The local Silver Band has passed through its initial diffieulties and now bids fair to become a deserving local institution worthy of public support. It is well equipped, both as to instruments and uniforms and under the capable conduct orship of Mr. IT. Osborne, membrs are displaying marked effici-
ency. in Ibis connection very encouraging and flattering comments have been received from the public and visiting bandsmen of recent performances. The band hopes to provide periodical open-air concerts during this year. It has been suggested that a band rotunda be erected for this purpose on the crest of the hill in Ihakara Garden. We feel sure the public would generously respond to such an effort. The administration side of the Band is receiving careful attention and everything points to the hearty co-operation of all concerned.
