ROYAL PICTURES.

“A Roaring Adventure” is coming to the Royal theatre tomorrow night with dashing Jack IToxie as star. The picture is a Universal Western and is said to live up to, its title with a vengeance. Hoxie will be seen in a new role, that of an Easterner in the West, and, instead of the big hat, chaps and other regalia of the cowboy, will wear a cap, riding breeches and puttees, but that does not interfere with his riding, nor with his ability to tight his way out of tight places. “A. Roaring Adventure” tells a thrilling story of the efforts to break up a band of cattle rustlers. There are several big scenes, including a desparate battle between cattle rustlers and a sheriff’s posse. There also is a sensational. rescue of a girl, from the back of a run-a-way horse. Tom Wilson is the only white screen actor who can successfully imitate a negro on the screen and get away with it. He “fools” the camera and is said to be the only screen player that can. The story deals with a young fellow who inherits a million dollars from his uncle but has to marry a certain girl to collect. He has just gone through the unpleasant experience of having “the only girl in the world” walk out of the church on fcim for another fellow, and his feelings towards women in general are not what, they might he so he passes up the legacy; but when lie sees the girl in the case, it’s a different story entirely. Raymond Griffith the funny fellow with the top hat is the featured player. A comedy “Meet the Ambassador,” “Scandinavia,” and a News complete the list. Usual Cabaret prices. Tom Mix and his famous lioise Tony have never been seen to better advantage than in Zane Giey s “Riders of the Purple Sage” which is to be the big attraction at the Town Hall on Friday nert.
