The following is a further health talk:

Never eat oranges, apples, or other juicy fruits when the stomach is congested, if you do they will cause uric acid to form and poison the body. If eaten on an empty stomach you will derive great benefit from these same fruits. Do not forget that the very best of food becomes poison when the system is congested. The orange is a wonderful remedy for all blood and skin diseases as it contains an abundance of vitamines in its natural state, no sugar. All ripe fruits are really pre-diges-ted foods, that is the reason they should not betaken with a regular meal. The minerals found in fruits are of the greatest importance. Lemon juice is good for colds and coughs and is a powerful antiseptic in all diseases. There is nothing better for the blood, as previously stated, than orange juice. Fruit juices are good laxative, eat plenty of fruit and you .will not be troubled with constipation, unless you are eating these fruits with other foods. " (Fruit always by itself, or with dairy products, or a fevv nuts, or fresh nonstarchy vegetables, never with starches, or sugar). Acid fruits all have a good influence on the liver. Fruits will clear the system of mineral deposits which are the cause of old age. The organic salts of fruit are absolutely necessary for the preservation of youth and vitality; you also need fat, which can be derived from dairy products and nuts. Grapes contain iron, which is needed by the blood to enable it to carry oxygen to all parts of the body. Lemon juice is also good for gall-stones and rheumatism. The pineapple is a great aid to digestion, those suffering with indigestion or dyspepsia should eat it on an empty stomach before retiring. Cheese with whole wheat bread and fresh, non-starchy vegetables is a perfect combination for a midday meal, and you will do well to give this a trial. If the digestiin is weak nuts should not be eaten for a dime. If you eat meat remember that meat that is merely heated will digest in less than an hour, while meat that is very well cooked takes from four to five hours. Remember, also, that no meat-eating animal - such as the lion, or tiger can live on cooked meat, yet man is trying to do so, with the result that he is dying of disease in his youth. Millions of adults die before they are thirty-five, just when they should begin to live. White bread and all white flour products will not sustain life in an animal over six or eight weeks, neither will they sustain life in a human being. Substitute whole wheat and whole wheat products for white flour products and you will have made one of the greatest changes for long life. White flour products are the greatest cause of constipation of which the whojle civilised race is suffering to-day. It has well been said that constpation is the mother of disease. When you eat a meal of meat, white bread, potatoes, dessert and coffee, you are eating a meal that takes about five hours to digest, and it takes almost as much energy to digest it and throw the waste material out of the body as has been derved from the food. You have derved little benefit. Those troubled with poor digestion will find it helpful on arising in the morning to drink a cup of hot water with some lemon juice in it, then a little fruit (no sugar). When eating any starchy foods as bread, potatoes or rice, do not use any sugar, the adding of sugar makes any food much harder to digest. If the full value of oatmeal is to be derived it should be served with milk but without sugar. Our bodies are composed of 16 elements. If the foods you eat do not contain them you cannot help being weak. Your vitality is low, and, in this condition, illness and perhaps death may come at any time. There are about 25 pounds of saliva, gastric juice, pancreatic juice and bile formed daily in a normal body, but this is impossible unless you are eating the right food. The body is about thrre fourths water and unless we furnish this supply we are going to be diseased. The water supplied to the body should always be so'ft water, either spring, distiled or rain water. If you get up in the morning feeling tired, it is a very good sign that iron is lacking in your system, this iron cannot be supplied in pills or a liquid, it can be supplied in food. The person who has the proper amount of iron in iiis blood feels like jumping out of bed as soon as he awakens.
