STOP WORK MEETING AT MASTERTON.

Masterton, January 6.

A stop-work meeting of workers engaged at the Waingawa Freezing Works was held "yesterday, Messrs A. McLeod, secretary of the Wellington Freezing Workers’ Union, and R. Semple being present. After a two-hours’ duscussion, the following resolution was unanimously carried:

“That this slop-work meeting of Masterton freezing workers wholeheartedly supports the Canterbury demands for increased rates, believing them to be reasonable and just, and further pledges to take whatever action is deemed advisable in support of the same.” It, was further agreed by resolution that no men go south until the dispute is settled.
