MOTOR CYCLE COLLISION.

LOCAL RESIDENT INJURED.

As a result of a collision between two motor cycles on the Whirokino Bridge on Tuesday morning Samuel Mansell, of Cook Street, Foxton, was admitted to the Palmerston North Hospital suffering from concussion and abrasions to the head. The other cyclist in the collision escaped without serious injury. Both bikes were badly damaged. It appears that the cyclists came into a head-on collision on the bridge, but details of the smash are meagre. The injured man received medical attention at Foxton prior to being removed to the Hospital.

The second motor cyclist involved in the collision on the Whirokino bridge on Tuesday morning was Mr. 11. E. Howell, of Rongotea, who states that Mr. S. Mansell approched him on the wrong side of the bridge (says the Rongotea correspondent to the M.D. Times). Mr Howell suffered injuries to his head, face and knee involving the insertion of stitches. He hopes, however, to be able to get about again in the course of a day or two.

The condition of Mr. Mansell is reported to be improved.
