THE PORT.

The a.s. Kolii arrived in port late yesterday afternoon with a cargo of benzine from Wellington. While waiting outside for the tide the crew of the Kolii caught a large -number of sehnapper, which were brought into port and disposed of. The s.s. Kennedy, which was due to leave Wanganui on Tuesday night, was unable to do so owing to another vessel having stuck in the stream and blocked the channel. The Kennedy later sailed for Wellington and leaves the southern port to-night for Foxton.
