HIGH COMMISSIONER’S CABLE.
The High Commisioner’s cablq dated the sth inst., reads: Hemp, Manila market is dull and prices lower. “J” grade January-March shipments quoted at 144 at the close. Small demand for sisal. Tanganyika No. 1 December-Feb-ruary shipments quoted at £45. New Zealand market quiet, but good tone. Sellers quote high points at £4O, fair £3O for Novem-ber-January and January-March shipments possible buyers 10/- less.
