The evening was spent very happily in euchre, games, and dancing, the euchre prizes being won by Mrs A>l- - anil Mr. S. Hartley, the consolation prizes going to Mrs Shortt, and Mr. W. Hartley. A very entertaining competition in the form of a walnut race caused much merriment, the prizes this time, being won by Mrs Shortt and Mr. S. Hartley, and consolation prizes In Mrs Hartley, and Master Wishart. In a very apt speech Mr. Hartley expressed the goodwill of the residents for the guests of the evening and called upon them to accept a small token of respect. Mrs Pedersen was presented with a doulton bowl and Mr. Pedersen with a shaving outfit. The evening was brought to a close with the singing of “Auld Lang Syne.”
