SOCCER “SPRINGBOKS.”

TO TOUR DOMINION NEXT SEASON. Members of the Council of the New Zealand Football Association attended a special meeting last week to discuss the proposed tour of New Zealand by a South African team. It was explained that the proposal was that the South African tern should tour New Zealand in June and July of next year, and it was estimated that the expenses of seventeen players would amount to £5367 for fifty-five days. The team would leave South Africa about May 10 and arrive in New Zealand about June 15. Thirteen games would be played in New Zealand. It was decided to approve of the tour, and to communicate with the South African Association to that effect. Guarantees will be sought from the various New Zealand Associations.
