POLITICAL.
A reminder is given local residents that Mr P. L. Hollings, National candidate, will deliver an address in the Town Hall this evening.
During the past few days Mr. had a strenuous time, speaking had a strenuous time, speaking twice a day. He reports splendid meetings, and a very cordial reception everywhere he has been. On Saturday last lie spoke to the farmers in Main St., Foxton, and at night at Rangiotu. On Sunday he spoke at the Top Camp, Mangalmo, and at the power house in the ev-
ening. On Monday night nearly 150 people assembled in the Coronation Hall, Rongotea. Judging by the applause which greeted the speaker it was evident that a great impression had been made. Many questions were asked relative to shipping, land, education, etc., and a vote of thanks to the speaker and chair concluded a good meeting.
