THE PALMERSTON NORTH DEVIATION.
37 ACRES TAKEN FOR DWELLINGS. By proclamation in the New Zealand ‘Gazettee’ of Thursday October 15, the Government has taken a piece of land of an approxiate area of 3G acres, 3 roods and 0.4 perches at Palmerston North for sites for dwellings for employees of the Government Railways Department. The land is situated in the Wellington Land District, beine lots 9 and 10 and parts of lots 1 and 8 (D.P. 4946) of section 556. town of Palmerston North, Block VII., Kairanga Survey Dstriet, Kairanga County.
The land was taken in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in the GovernorGeneral by the Public Works Act, 1908, and the Government Railways Amendment Act, 1920.
