ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

* Christchurch, October 13. A man, about 45 years of age, slipped while trying to board the New Brighton express train this afternoon, and a trailer passed over him. Both legs were mangled, and his left arm was fractured. He was taken to the hospital, and died an hour after admission. His identity has not yet been established. Dargaville, October 13. A single man named Nichollson (40 years of age), employed by the Public Works Department on railway construction work on .the Pukehuia-Waiotii’a section of the North Auckland railway, was killed in the Tokatoka tunnel yesterday afternoon by a Public Works train.
