HOCKEY

The local ladies hockey team journeyed to Levin yesterday afternoon where they met defeat at the hands of the home team by (i goals to 2. Mr. F. Woods refereed the game. At half-time the score stood -I—nil in favour of Levin, but shortly after resuming play Miss Isie Patterson scored two goals for the Fox lon team. At the conclusion of play the visitors wore entertained at afternoon tea and a very enjoyable social hour was spent.
