HOCKEY.

At the winding-up meeting of the Manawatu Hockey Association held in Palmerston North last night. The manager Mr. A. R. Cliffe) of the representative team to Foxton reported on the game and stated that when there several enthusiasts had suggested to him that a sub-associ-ation be formed at Foxton, as there were several players in Otaki and Levin who could play under a subassociation but not otherwise. He thought lit at the idea a good one and that the sub-association would be the means of strengthening the number of players.—The matter was held over until application was made.
