FOXTON UNITED SPORTS ASSOCIATION.
A committee meeting of the United Sports’ Association was held last week. Present Messrs. Bryant, Parkin, Thomson, Pearson, W. E. Barber, Ogilvy, Hutchins, Austin, Alexander, Barron, and Christie. Members present from the Manawatu Motor Club Messrs. Woods, Page, Wells, Grant, and Palmer. Mr W. E. Barber was voted to the chair. The election of officials for the coming motor sports resulted as follow Patron, Mi'. J. Linklater, M.P.; president, Mi’. W. Jewell; judges, Messrs. E. V. West and S. Austin; first aid, Mr. J. Martin; starters, Messrs. Burrell and S. Barber; handicapper, Mir. E. C. Gaisford; time-keej?ers: Messrs. Neville and Wells; lap secretaries: Messrs. Riskard, Childs, and Bond; paddock track stewards: Messrs. Wood, Pearson and Thomson; call stewards, Messrs Wells, Christie, Bryant, Parkin; cycle steward: Mi’. A. Stevenson; protest Committee: Messrs Grant, Stevenson and Jeweli; handicapper for cycle races: Mr. T. Bruce; starter, for cycle races: Mr. Parkin; press steward, Mr. W. Jewell; treasurer, Mr. Parkin; secretary, F. Rimmer; assistant secretary: D. Ogilvy. The following were elected a town committee: —Messrs. Christie, Bryant, Parkin and Pearson. It was decided that the charge for admission to the sports he adults 2/-, children 1/-, motor cars etc 1/-. The secretary was instructed to arrange for the attendance at the meeting of the Foxton Silver Band. Decided to call tenders for catering. A vote of thanks to the Palmerston North Club brought the meeting to a close. .
