BOWLING

An invitation has been received from Takaro Club (Palmerston North) for Foxton to be represented at the opening of Takaro green on Saturday next, 26th inst.

At a meeting of Committee held last evening it was decided to open the local green on Wednesday, October 14th.

In view of the near approach of the opening of the bowling season, it was decided at last night’s meeting of Committee to arrange a working bee for to-morrow afternoon at the green, for the purpose of taking in hand very necessary work to the playing area. Members are requested to be in attendance to-morrow afternoon to assist in this preparatory work.

Members are reminded that the Club’s finances could do with supplementing, and are asked to assist by prompt payment of subscriptions now due.
