FOXTON PUBLIC SCHOOL LIBRARY.
Recently some 500 volumes have been added to the reading matter of the above library. These have been carefully selected with a view to providing for the requirements of all classes. Instead of forming one compact library, housed in a library room, the books have been distributed among the various classes from the Infant Department up to i the Seventh standard, in the form of class libraries. Each teacher is held responsible for his or her own class library and the pupils have the advantage of knowing that the books they take home to read are well within their comprehension. Mr. John Ross has presented to the the library a number of volumes dealing with the Great War. These when bound should prove a valuable acquisation to the reading matter of this school. The school committee at its meeting last night passed a hearty vote of thanks to Mr Ross for his gift.
