JULY WORKING. The amount of gas manufactured during the month of July was 422,400 feet which, with the amount in the holder on July Ist, 13,200 feet made a total of 435,600 feet. During the month 359,000 feet was used by consumers, 28,500 feet at the works and there were 13,600 feet in the holder on August Ist, making a total of 401,100 feet and leaving 34,500 feet, representing 7.9 per cent, unaccounted for. Thir-ty-eight tons oL' coal were carbonized during the month producing 11,115 feel to the ton. Eight tons 10 owl. of coke were produced. Receipts for the month totalled £247 His 6d, and were made up as follows: —Gas Sales (lighting) £54 19s Od, heat and power £123 11s (id, coke sales £sl 3s 6d, tar sales 1/-, fittings £ll 17s 4d, miscellaneous £6 4s 2d. The expenditure for the month was as follows: —Coal £lO7 19s lod, salaries and wages £72 7s 4d, fittings £l4 14s 3d, working exs. £1 Is 4d, tools £1 8s Gd, cartage and freight £2 8s 4d, Power Board 11s 7d, Interest and Sinking Fund £59 11s Bd, a total of £2GO 2s lOd. GAS ALVNAGEirS REPORT. “The apparatus at the works is in fairly good order and working quite satisfactorily. During the month the remainder of the lamps posts were removed and the pipes cut off and plugged at the main. The main in Purcell street has been extended and 2 cookers and one water heater fixed. There has been a good deal of work done outside clearing consumers’ pipes and services.—Adopted.
