PLUNKET SOCIETY

The monthly meeting of the Blanket Society was held in the Blanket oflice on Monday afternoon. There were present: —Mesdames F. Robinson (president), F. Proctor, lleasman, Trueman, Christie, Masson, Barr and McMurray. The lion, secretary reported that the mothers’ social afternoon held on September 3, had been successful. The committee regretted that a greater number of mothers had not taken the opportunity to hear Nurse Jones’s address. There was a credit balance of 8/2 over expenditure in connection with the social afternoon. Proceeds from Mr E. Healey’s weighing machine amounted to 8/-. Arrangements for a shop day to be held on September 20 were completed. Plunket Nurse Jones’s report showed visits to Box (on 4, adults to office 30, children 47, to homes 5, new cases 3. Mrs F. Ala son, a member of commit tee, was welcomed by the president. Mrs Christie was appointed flower steward and Mesdames Trueman and Barr, visitors for the month. Contributions to box totalled 5/7. The secretary was instructed to order a case of emulsion.
