UNITED SPORTS ASSOCIATION.
A well-attended meeting of the United Sports Association was held in the Racing Club’s office on Thursday evening, Mr. W. E. Barber presiding. Advice was received from the president of the N.Z.A.C.U. consenting to a meeting being held at Foxton on Labour Day 7. It was decided to hold a special meeting of the committee on Thursday 7, when the officials of the Palmerston North Cluti would be present. Subject to his consent Mr. Hay was appointed to represent the Racing Club on the U.S.A. committee. Mr, Barber advised that it would he impossible for him to attend the public meeting on Tuesday- night (15tli) called to consider the question of swimming baths, and Mr F. Mason was appointed in his stead.
