PRESBYTERIAN TENNIS CLUB.

The annual general meeting of the Foxton Presbyterian Tenuis : Club was held on Thursday evening, the Rev. F. McDonald presiding over a good attendance.. .The prospects for the year were very promising', as members of the K.O.S. Club were taking a keen interest and were going to run the tennis in conjunction with their club. The election of officers resulted: Patrons: Messrs. W. Ross and R. N. Speirs; president, Rev. F. McDonald; secretary, Mr. B. Chalk; treasurer, Mr. P. Honour; committee: Mrs McDonald and Misses A. Haydoek, A. Satkerley, K. Roore, M. McMurray, K. Martin, L. McEwcn. Messrs. W. Broad, G. Coley, 11. fluff, D. McMurray, B. Chalk, P. Honour. The subscription was fixed at 5/-, Working bees are to be held on Wednesday and Saturday. The opening day is to be held on the first Wednesday in October.
