EX-BANKER IN TROUBLE.
FAILURE TO KEEP PROPER BOOKS. Hamilton, Sept, 4. Arthur Charles Thynne, of Morinsville, ex-bank manager, was found guilty of failing to keep proper books, with a recommendation to mercy, On four other charges of breaches of the Bankruptcy Act he was found not guilty. Mr. Justice Herdman said that prisoner’s experience should have shown him the necessity of keeping proper records. He was satisfied prisoner was not honest in all his dealings. It was not a case for probation, and in the interests of commercial morality he would impose punishment. Prisoner was sentenced to three months’ hard labour.
