ROYAL PICTURES.
Frank Lloyd’s First National picture, “The Sea Hawk,” adapted from Rafael Sabatini’s stirring novel of Barbary Corsairs, featuring Milton Sills, Enid Bennett, Wallace Beery, and a huge east of over 5,000, opened at the Royal theatre last night. “The Sea Hawk” which will bo repeated to-night is the crowning achievement of a season of brilliant screen dramas, a play that registers its magnitude ia every scene and with such force that it is not likely that local screen followers will cease to talk about it very soon.
Some of the most dangerous and thrilling scenes ever shown on the screen are promised in “The Tornado,” Universal-Jewel, starring House Peters and scheduled for opening in the ' Royal theatre next Wednesday. The picture is the screen version of the emotional melodrama of the same name by Lincoln J. Carter, acclaimed one of the most spectacular stage plays ever produced. Peters is supported by Ruth Clifford as leading woman and others of note in the cast are Richard Tucker, Snitz Edwards and Kate Price. King Baggot directed. Comedy: “Aggrevatmg Kid.”
