The Poxton Beautifying Society gives notice in Mis issue of a public meeting to be held on Tuesday next to discuss the advisability of making a hugh effort to raise a sum of money for th'e following purposes, namely: beautification of Easton Park; childrens’ playground scheme; local ambulance; swimming baths. All local sports bodies are specially invited to be present. To celebrate the 51st Anniversary of the local Methodist Church a concert will be given in the church on Priday evening next, commencing at 8 o'clock. A very line aud varied programme will be presented consisting of vocal and violin solos, choruses, duets, etc. Priends from Peifding, Shannon, and Levin have promised to assist tire local singers.
