PARLIAMENT IN SESSION.
; An early event of interest in the House of Representatives on 1 Thursday was the tabling of the report of the Vestey Commission 1 (says the Dominion). It is to be discussed in detail on a later day. A debate on the annual immigration report was interrupted by the dinner adjournment. In the evening, the third Imprest (Supply Bill of the session was brought down. Discussion, as is usual on such occasions, wandered into various bypaths. A Labour member accused the Reform Party of circulating blasphemous pamphlets. Explanations made it clear that the pamphlets in question contained an exposure of I.W.W. methods. In making this explanation, Reform members carried the war briskly into the Labour camp. The House rose at I.JLU a.m.
