ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES

Dunedin, August 3rd. Afrs Hannah Hnrneiss, who was admitted to hospital on Thursday suffering from burns received by her clothes catching lire, died this morning. The body of Dr. Alexander Joseph .Mellory was found floating in the harbour at 7.15 last night. He went for a walk to Black Jack's Point, Kevensbourne, and tripped and fell in the water and was drowned. At the inquest this morning, a verdict of accidentally drowned was returned. Christchurch, August 3rd. A young woman named Dee slipped when steeping off a moving tram and a wheel passed over Iter right arm, which had to he amputated.
