ALLY WORKING
During the month of May 407.700 c.ft. of gas was m;iMiilaetur.od, which, with the amount in . Iho holder on Alay Ist.. 12,400 c.JL. made a total of 420,1 th) ft. During the month 357.400 ft. of gas was used hv consumers, 22,000 ft. at the works, and there was 10,800 it. in the holder on June Ist., making total of 390,200 ft., and having 29,900 ft., representing 0.!) per cent, unaccounted for. Thirty eight tons of coal was carbonised during the month, producing 10,728 c ft. to the ion. The amount of coke produced was 8 tons l lcwt.
Receipts for iho month totalled £25!) ,1(5/8, and were made up as follows: —Gas sales (lighting) £53 10/3, heat and power £lO9 19/2, coke sales £42 8/3,- tar sales £3l. fittings £lB 15/-, miscellaneous 18/The expenditure for the month totalled £2OO 5/1, and was as follows: Coal £lOl 15/(5, salaries and wages £43 4/2, linings £2l 13/4. meter repairs £1 7/-, working expenses 5/10 printing and advertising £1 14/(5, engine repairs and oil 11/fi, tools £3 10/(5, cartage and freight £2 2/2, Horowheuua Power Hoard 11/3, rates £23 11/8, Interest and Sinking Fund £59 11/8.
