THE WEEKLY MEETING
Owing to the Jioods several members of the Committee were unable to be present at Tuesday liiglit’s meeting of the Rugby Union Management Committee held in Levin. The N.Z Rugby Union wrote asking for names of players qualified f,, play in the North versus South I'slnml match.—Referred to Mr. Wrigley, the Horowlienua selector.
Lima forwarded his written explanation of the incident during the Otaki-Wanderers match. When he was ordered off. It was resolved that, having stood down on two placing Saturdays it be considered sufficient punishment.
Following upon the reporting of Graham for using insulting language to the referee after the recent Wanderers-Foxton match, the Seeretarv pointed out that as Graham | Kl d been debarred from playing in last Saturday’s match this might lie considered sufficient punishment. The referee's job. he wont on to say. was a thankless one ai die best' of times. Air Anderson thought the players should back up the referees as much as possible.
