SPORTS ART UNION.
Christchurch, Last Night. The Art Union promoted by the Canterbury Cricket and Tennis Associations, was drawn to-night, the first six prizes being won as follow: £IOOO, U. Saudford, Christehureh; £SOO, .J. Aitchison, Hamilton; £2OO, I’. Maugher, Christehureh; £IOO, M. 10. Hendry, Taupo; £IOO C. H. Cooper, Annat; £IOO, N. Jameson, Auckland. There were ISO other prizes, ranging from £SO to £5. The Art Union netted about £OOOO to each Association. The tennis body will devote its share to equipping Wilding Park and the cricket body to providing coaches.
