The Auckland police received advice to-day that Maurice McAulii'f had been a rested at Arapuni on a charge of breaking and entering the shop of Mark Salas, out litter of Victoria Strep. Auckland. Accused was charged at the Putaruru Court and remanded to Auckland. The circumstances of the burglar which occurred between Saturday May 30 and Monday, June 1 were pi culiar. Entrance was affected through the roof, a sheet of iron being removed while holds were cat in the ceiling of the top floor shop, and then in the ceiling of Salas’ shop below. Investigation showed that the man had boiled a In ttie at the back of the shop, made a cup of cocoa, and had a shave before departing through the front door with* a suitcase containing goods valued at £75.
