REGULATIONS APPROVED BY

CABINET. Cabinet approved on Saturday ol the new regulations governing veneral diseases, which were published some weeks ago, (says the Post). The date from which the regulations will come into force will he prescribed in the necessary Order in-Council, which will probably he published iu the “Gazette"’ the week after next. A deputation will wait on the Minister of Health (Sir Alaui Ponmre) early next week to lodge a protest against the compulsory notification clause, but it is extremely unlikely that the representations will result in any alterations in the regulations, which have been drawn up after very full investigations and consideration by a Rovai Commission.
