The Motif o:l Batchelors’ 801 l was held in tlio .Monton Hull last Friday night and was a huge .sum-css. The hall was crowded and llie hall presented a very animated appearance with its coloured streamers, balloons and greenery. Yilitors wettc present from Shannon, Ko.vlon. Levin, and Palmerston North. Mr P». Walls’ orchestra dispensed excellent music and dancing was indulged in until an early hour. A very enjoyable time was spent by all who attended and the ball was declared one of the best of ilite season.
A meeting- of the Mouloa Hall Committee was held in the hall on Monday evening', presided over by Mr Smith. The annual balance was read and adopted and disclosed the fact tlmi tin 1 linancial position was very sat isfactory. Hearty votes ol thanks were accorded the chairman (Mr Smith) and secretary (Mr S. Barber) for their work diirim- the past year, and both reelected for a further term of otliee. Several new members were elected to the committee.
