ANIAIAL LIES ON BABY’S

FACE. Christchurch, Last Night. A seven months' old baby, Laura Eileen Wishers, of 330 Selwyn Street, Addington, was suffocated bv a eat lying across her face this morning. The child was dressed and pul in its pram on a sunny part of the verandah, and at 10.45 a.m. the eldest daughter went out on the verandah to Hud the cat lying aeross the child’s face. She immediately called her mother, who saw there was something wrong with the child and Dr. Brown was summoned, hut all efforts at resuscitation failed.
