SATURDAY'S RESULTS. Juniors.—Awahou defeated Aliranui, (i —3, at Foxton, Shannon defeated Foxton 12 —t), at Shannon. Thirds. —-Foxton defeated Monton, 3 to nil, at .Moutoa. Fourths. Weraroa defeated Foxton, !) to nil, at Foxton. Seniors.—Foxton :3, Hni Mai 0. There was n good attendance at th<' Racecourse on Saturday to witness the TTni Mai v. Foxton senior game. Foxton. shortly after the start, worked down Held with a series of rushes, and from a free kick for off side, Taylor had a shot, but wit limit result. Iliii Mai, from the kick mil. initiated a. good forward i iis.l l which Reid managed to stop within his own twenty-live, but being lackied, be passed and 1 Ini Mai essayed to goal, lint failed. The
greens (Hni Mai) came again and rushed over the line, but Taylor forced. A good passing rush by McDonald and Reid gained a 10l of ground, but the pass jo Moses was knocked on, and an excellent chance- was lost. TT. Fuller, at half, then gave T. Fuller a chance, this player being pushed out right on the line. Proctor and Reid then tried to get through on the other side, !mt George (green) got possession and returned play to half way. From the line-out ITui Mai lonlinuctl to attack, and C. Enokn tried a pot, lint Moses blocked', the ball rebounding and Moses was through with Proctor in attendance, but had the misfortune to knock on. Proctor then made a good run and centred well, FT. Fuller securing and passing on to his brother, who put in sonic good work but was tackled, and while on the ground, receiver a. nasty kick in the ribs, which laid him out for some time. Oil the resumption of play, Hui Mai was kept penned in its own twenty-live until the call of half l i mo.
When the whistle sounded it was found that T. Fuller was unable to continue, and A. Fuller took ; li*‘ held playing full-back while Taylor moved up to wing threeipuirter. The green forwards immediately rushed matters to the

Taylor’s shot at goal went directly over the post. Foxton 3, Ilni Mai nil. Yellows returned to the -attack, lau Wallace, at full-hack, got in . nine beautiful work, and took play iight up to Foxton’s line, and Proctor had to force. Puller made some good play and gave greens a few minutes anxiety, but a force-down saved the situation. Reid again set Us hacks in motion, Moses, Kinaliana and Taylor taking part, the latter getting over but was called back for a pass forward. Kinaliana had here to be carried off Die ground and was unable to resume. Pox ton was still attacking and Taylor again essayed to goal from a mark but it was his day off ami llie greens forced. Prom the kick, the greens forwards took play to well past half way, when Proctor, Reid and McDonald brought piav back again, but were unable to complete the rush. Fox ton was still attacking when the whistle uent for time, Fox lon emerging i !u- \ idol's by 3 points to nil. SHANNON 12 v. FOXTON ft. The above junior teams met on the Recreation Grounds on Saturday afternoon and after an evenly contested game the local boys secured it win. The visitors in the first spell playing with the wind held the advantage and at the end of ilie spell were leading by six points a penalty goal kicked by Kere and
;. try scored by Huff as tile outcome of a dribbling rush for which MeMiirray was responsible. On ( banging sides Shannon made a vigorous forward attack and within a few minutes Hemlrieksen, who bad been playing- a great game, scored from a scramble near the line. Burkinan, who replaced Davcy, the latter having received a kick on the head near the end of llie lirst spell, took the kick at goal, but failed to add the extra points. Immediately the ball went: into play Shannon made another vigorous assault and quickly added another try to their credit which was obtained by Robinson as* a result of a scrum near the line. Coyle just missed adding the extra points. With the scores even both teams got to it in earnest, but Shannon gradually worked play to their opponent’s line where Robinson scored his second try from a scrum. Coyle's attempt at goal missed. Foxlon now took a turn at attack and from a pretty passing bout among their backs Proctor scored and again the score was even. Once
more both teams were down to it, Shannon having slightly the best of it, they finally being awarded a free kick in their opponents’ territory, Aim converting, much to the joy of Shannon’s supporters. The game thus ended as stated above. Although the game was not marked by brilliant play it was keenly contested and was full of interest from a spectator’s point of view. Kere played a sound game in the Foxton’s backs, while Mr Murray was their best forward on the day. Shannon's backs were an even lot, while Ilend? ieksen and Robinson stood out prominently in the forwards. Air R. Sands controlled the game.
