During- tbe month 331,200 ft. us used bv consumers, 1,000 it. in sileii lamps. 23,000 ft. at the works' and there was 13,200 ft. in Ihe holder on April Ist making a total of 308,400 ft., and leaving .10,000 ft. representing 7.5 per cent, unaccounted lor. Six tons of coal uere carbonised during the month, Pinducing 10,772 c. ft. of gas to tbe ton. Seven ton lit!teen ewt. of coke was produced. Receipts lor tin* month totalled ‘.'.LSD lli 7 « 1 and were made up follows: —(las sales (lighting) 017) Lss Id. beat and power £O7 10s 74. coke sales €2O Lss sd, tar sales €2 3.- till, titling £3 Os Od. The expenditure totalled £223 7s od, and was as follows:- —Coal £lO2 0.-. Lid, salaries and wages £52 8s tld, insurances £0 5s Od, phone £3, interest and Sinking Fund L’d.l 11s Bd.
