LEVIN GUN CLUB.
Clay bird shooting is gaining popularity throughout the district, according to reports appearing in ihe Levin Chronicle. On Wednesday, Mi’ N. Robinson, a local gun enthusiast, “tried his hand” at the came at the third shoot of the Levin Gun Club. In bis initial attempt lie succeeded in gaining 7 points, which placed him tie with five others for first position. Lnfort.iinately he was using a gun he was not accustomed to, and received a nasty “kick” in the mouth during Hie first “shoot,” and this somewhat rattled him in the shoot-off for the final.
Robinson shot' off first for the B class, missing both barrels. Cartnicliaol doing the same. Perry and Tantrum both scored with the first barrel. Both ol' these latter missed their second birds, Perry getting his third with the first barrel and Tantrum missing. Perry 1, Taut rum 2. '
