FOXTON SCHOOL COMMITTEE.
Nominations for committeemen for the Foxton State School Coinmil tee closed on Monday evening. There were only nine nominations received, and as there were only nine vacancies, there will he no necessity for an election at the annual meeting of householders. A olmirmjan will he elected by the new committee at their first meeting. The nominations were as follows : Messrs Rtmre Rangihcuea, \\. H. Walton, D. i!. Barron, A. Stevenson, F. Woods, S. E. Cowley, M. E. Perreau, Jno. Ross, and J. K. Hornblow. The incoming committee is same as the retiring committee, with the exception that Messrs G. Coley, E. Parkin and A. N. Smith did not seek re-election. Mr A. N. Smith has left the district, and owing to illness Mr Geo. Coley is unable to seek office. The new committeemen filling the three vacancies are Messrs F. Woods, D. R. Barron and W. H. Walton.
