SHOOTING FATALITY.

Invercargill, Last Night. A distressing fatality occurred at Wallacetown on Tuesday evening, when Ernest Galbraith Townsend, IS years of age, accidentally shot himself in the head while out shooting rabbits. Deceased slept in a lint a short distance from bis parents' residence, and ns he was to attend a dance that night his absence was not noticed. This morning his sister discovered him lying near a fence with a gunshot wound in the head, which had proved fnlal. I| is thought that deceased was getting through a fence when the trigger caught on a wire, causing the gun to discharge.
