FATAL MOTOR CRASH.

TERRIBLE INJURIES SUSTAINED.

Auckland, April 1. Brace Graham, storekeeper, Horotiu, and his daughter, Daphne, aged 14, sustained fractured skulls in a motor ear adcident near Horotin this afternoon. Mrs Graham had both legs broken and her right leg badly lacerated. Mr Olesen, Graham’s partner, who was driving, escaped uninjured. All three were admitted to the Waikato hospital and received medical treatment soon after the accident. Graham and his daughter are in a critical condition, and little hope is held out for their recovery. The accident occurred at a difficult bend in the road. The car skidded on the sand while trying to pass another motor, crashed into a telegraph pole and overturned. The motor car caught fire, but was extinguished by nearby residents, who were soon on the scene. The ear was badly damaged. Lalcr. Bruce Graham died on bis way to Hamilton, and bis wife died shortly after admission. The latest advice from Hamilton stales that the daughter's life is also despaired of.
