Messrs Levin and Co., Ltd., have received the following cable from their London agents, dated 27th March, 1925: — “Frozen meat quotations (prices on a “delivered” basis, i.e., including storage charges, cartage, tolls, etc.,) Down lambs 28-42’s --id per lb; best North Island 28-42’s Iti; ordinary North Island 28-42’s 11-jd per lb; second quality lambs 28-42’s 11 fd per lb; best North Island wether sheep 48-ti4’s Bgel per lb; best North Island wether sheep 04-72’s 7d per lb; ordinary North Island wether sheep 48-(i4’s B£d per lb; North island ewes 48-ti4’s 7fd per lb; North Island ewes G4-72’s ltd per lb; New Zealand prime ox beef l(j0-220's sjd per lb.” As compared with last week’s prices, the market is id per lb. lowdl* all round. Indications are that the market is on the downward tendency.
