N.Z. MOTOR CONFERENCE.
Christchurch, Yesterday. VI the New Zealand Motor Conference it was decided that further endeavours lie made to secure an amendment of the lights on Vehicles Act, so that motor ear owners, may leave their ears nn'liglited in streets that are efficiently lighted, provided this does not interfere with local by-laws as to parking. li was resolved that the Government lie approached to abolish all lull-gales as at March 31, 1925, and if compensation is required by certain councils, the Highways Board iecompcn.se such councils from the general fund, providing the balance .sheets from the gates show compensation to be equitable.
