INTER-CLUB CROQUET.

FOXTON DEFEATS TERRACE END. t The Fox ton Club sent its representatives to the Alanawatu Croquet greens on Thursday, when they met and defeated the Tex*raee End chib’s team. The visitors failed to gain the maximum number of points by three. They won three games against their opponents one. Detailed results are as follow, Foxton being mentioned fiyst:— Doubles. —Afesdames Owen and AfcMurray (17) defeated Mesdames Oibell and Browne (18),226;6 —6; Mesdames Parkes and Head (18) lost to Mesdames Honore and Litchfield (18), 23—26: Singles.—Airs Pearson (74) defeated Mrs Litchfield (!)), 26 —20? Mrs Perreau (4) defeated Airs Sei'oggs (6), 26 —20. The next round of the inter club competition will be between the Fcilding and Takaro Clubs and will he played next Thursday on the Terrace End greens.
